ISO42001 requires that an organisation should consider and record the data sources of AI under development.
As such the following should be considered:
- Data preparation
- Bias issues of data being utilised
- Data retention periods
- Quality of code
- Use of the data
- Labelling criteria
- Categorisation of data
- Machine learning and data validation
- Date stamps on data for traceability
- Origins of the data
These records should part of the AIMS (artificial intelligence management system) and should be clearly identified for purposes of review and update.
AI audits should also focus upon the areas detailed above and audit outputs should feed into management review and ongoing AI continual improvement programmes.
