ISO 42001 requires that an organisation should establish and create a documented plan to ensure that key output criteria are met prior to deployment.
The guidance element of ISO42001 states that AI can be created in differing environments, such as on site or in a secure cloud environment.
Organisations should look at the issues relating to such environments and document accordingly. In addition, an organisation should determine whether AI components are deployed separately or in a combined format.
Release criteria should be defined and documented. This should include verification and validation stages and results obtained from both activities recorded.
This could be incorporated within the design plan of AI products. Performance metrics should be established and met prior to release of AI.
The deployment plan should consider impacts from relevant interested parties.
