Included within the resource area of ISO42001 the enterprise should set out and log information about the AI systems and computing resources used as part of the overall AI model.
This should include but not be limited to:
- Resource needs for AI systems to ensure operability on AI development
- Where the AI systems are to be located. E.g. premises or cloud or edge computing
- Network storage issues and capacity issues
- Impact assessments on the hardware to run the AI systems. AI development can be resource and energy intensive
The enterprise should consider differing strategies for AI resources to allow on-going development of AI programmes.
These strategies may require approval by top management as part of the development of an AIMS (artificial intelligence management system).
